The Three Saints

One women saw 3 saints in front of her house. And she was not knowing any of them.  Women said –  “kindly come inside and have food” Saint replied – "is your husband inside the house? ” Women – “no, he has gone out” Saint –“will come inside the house only when he has come” In the evening the woman's husband comes home and she tells the complete story about the saints. Husband – “go and tell them I have come home and invite them inside the house.” Women went out and called the saints inside the house.  Saint said – “we all dont go inside anyones house together. ” “but why?” – women asked One of the saint replied – “my name is wealth”
Then he pointed  to other saints and said – “these two saints names are prosperity and love" Only one of us can come inside your house!  "U go in and discuss with your family and decide which saint you want to invite ” Women went inside and told all this to her husband.  Her husband became too excited And said –“if this is the matter then let us invite wealth! Our house will be filled with happiness” Wife – “I feel we should invite prosperity” Their daughter was in the next room , she was listening to all this discussions.  She came close to them and said –  “I feel we should invite love. Beside love nothing is important” “you are  right, we should invite love only” – her parents agreed. Women went out and asked saints –  “Between you all who is love please come inside the house” Love started walking towards the house!   Other two saints started following love.  The surprised women asked the saints – “i only invited love then why you two are coming inside the house?” One of the saint replied – “if you had invited prosperity or wealth, then only that particular saint would have entered your house.

But you have invited love!

Love never walks alone,
Where ever  love is, there is always prosperity and wealth. They all go hand in hand.

The donkey and the rope

A farmer was taking three of his donkeys for sale to the market.

On the way he saw a river and decided to have a dip.

Since he had only two ropes to tie the donkeys to a tree, he looked around wondering how to tie  the third one.
He saw a sage and sought his help if he could give him a rope to tie the third donkey. The sage did not have a rope but had a suggestion.

He told the farmer, “let the third donkey see you tying the other two donkeys to a tree.  Then  you pretend to tie this one also”.

The farmer did as he was told and went for a dip in the river. Coming back, he thanked the sage and saw that the donkeys stood exactly at the same spot where he had left them.

He untied the two donkeys and patted the third one to start moving. After going a little distance, imagine his surprise when the third donkey stood still at the same spot.

Cajoling, kicking or talking did not help with the donkey, refusing to move from the spot. The farmer went back to sage, who told him, “untie the third donkey”.
“But”, protested the farmer, “I have not tied him”. The sage asked, “You know it. But does the donkey know that?”

Sure enough the farmer went back and pretended to untie the donkey. The donkey moved immediately as though released and walked over to join the other two donkeys.

Moral of the story:

We are all, also tied up by too many  imaginary ropes…… which are really non-existent. The only truth is there are no boundaries in real life and anyone can stretch to any extent. Don’t we all see records being broken, every time, everywhere and every day?
Our mind is a sacred enclosure into which nothing harmful can enter except with our permission. Hence as we go along this day let us see what we can do with our minds.

Journey of soul

A disciple asked his Guru- "Is there a 'Soul' in our body,? Will it not 'perish' like the body.?" The Guru explained . "Milk" is useful but if left as it is it gets spoiled. In case u add a drop a "Buttermilk". it becomes "Curd" and the Milk that turns to Curd, remains for one more day without getting spoiled . If left as it is,the Curd gets spoiled. Yet, if u churn the "Curd" it becomes "Butter" which doesn't get spoiled. But, even Butter also does not remain fresh for many days.. It becomes rancid or spoiled after a few days. But if u melt Butter in a proper manner.. It becomes pure "Ghee", which never gets spoiled. Now, do u see that the "Milk" which gets spoiled contains "Ghee" that never gets spoiled ? Likewise, inside the "perishable" Body, there is an "imperishable" Soul. Human Body is the milk । Sankirtan is the buttermilk.  Seva is the churning.. & then by Sadhana we melt the 'reformed body' to be one with the 'soul'.

Take Care

A cobbler lived in a large village and he was the only cobbler in town, so he was responsible for repairing the boots of everybody else. However, he didn’t have time to repair his own    boots. This wasn’t a problem at first, but over time, his boots began to deteriorate and fall apart. While he worked feverishly on the boots of everyone else, his feet got blisters and he started to limp. His customers started to worry about him, but he reassured them that everything was ok.However, after a few years, the cobbler’s feet were so injured that he could no longer work and no-one’s boots got repaired. As a consequence, soon the entire town started to limp in pain, all because the cobbler never took the time to repair his own boots. This simple principle is so often disregarded. If you don’t look after yourself, after a while you’ll be no good to anyone else either.  Your best intentions will mean nothing and you’ll be unable to do what you’re meant to do. This goes for doctors, social workers, teachers even parents. If you don’t take the time to care for yourself, no-one else will.  Are you taking care of yourself ? JHave a good time ahead and kindly take care of yourself.

Misjudgement

How our inner Ego sometimes misjudges a PERSON who is in front of you.!!! and treat them badly ?.
An interesting real life story for you to read on .It is an eye opener. You learn to treat someone wit humanity and respect, not by their outlooks or appearances. A lady in a faded grey dress and her husband, dressed in a home-spun suit walked in timidly without an appointment into the Harvard University President's outer office. The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard and probably didn't even deserve to be in Harvard. "We want to see the President "the man said softly."!! "He'll be busy all day "the secretary snapped." "Well,we will wait" the lady replied. For hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and go away. They didn't and the secretary grew frustrated and finally decided to disturb the president. "Maybe if you see them for a few minutes, they will leave" she said to him. The President, stern faced and with dignity, strutted toward the couple.
The lady told him "We had a son who attended Harvard for one year. He loved Harvard. He was happy here. But about a year ago, he was accidentally killed. My husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him, somewhere on campus." The president wasn't touched....He was shocked. "Madam "he said, gruffly, " we can't put up a statue for every person who attended Harvard and died. If we did, this place would look like a cemetery." "Oh, no," the lady explained quickly” We don't want to erect a statue. We thought we would like to give a building to Harvard." The president rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and homespun suit, and then exclaimed, "A building!!. Do you have any earthly idea, how much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the physical buildings here at Harvard." For a moment the lady was silent. The president was pleased. Maybe he could get rid of them now. The lady turned to her husband and said quietly, "Is that all it costs to start a university" ? .  Why don't we just start our own?" Her husband nodded. The president's face wilted in confusion and bewilderment. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford got up and walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California where they established the University that bears their name: Stanford University, a memorial to their son that, Harvard no longer cared about.

Most of the time we judge people by their outer appearance, which can be misleading. And in this impression, we tend to treat people badly by thinking they can do nothing for us. Thus we tend to lose our potential good friends, employees or customers.

Moral:-

Remember
In our Life, we seldom get people with whom we want to share & grow our thought process. But because of our inner EGO, we hurt and miss them forever.

The Reflection

eOnce a dog ran into a museum where all the walls, the ceilng, the door and even the floor were made of mirror.  Seeing this the dog froze in surprise in the middle of the hall, a whole pack of dogs surrounded it from all sides, from above and below. Just in case, the dog bared his teeth, all the reflections responded to it in the same way. Frightened, the dog frantically barked .The reflections imitated the bark and increased it many times. The dog barked even harder and the echo was keeping up. The dog tossed from one side to another, biting the air - his reflections also tossed around snapping their teeth Next day in the morning, the museum security guards found the miserable dog, lifeless and surrounded by a million reflections of lifeless dogs.  There was nobody, who would make any harm to the dog.  The dog died by fighting with his own reflections. The world doesn't bring good or evil on its own. Everything that is happening around us is the reflection of our own thoughts , feelings, wishes and actions. The World is a big mirror.
Strike a good pose!
Smile from deep within.
Life is beautiful..

Forgiveness

The most creative power given to the human spirit is the power to heal the wounds of a past it cannot change.

We do our forgiving alone inside our hearts and minds; what happens to the people we forgive depends on them.

The first person to benefit from forgiving is the one who does it.

Forgiving happens it three stages: we rediscover the humanity of the person who wronged us; we surrender our right to get even; and we wish that person well.

Forgiving is a journey; the deeper the wound, the longer the journey.

Forgiving does not require us to reunite with the person who broke our trust.

We do not forgive because we are supposed to; we forgive when we are ready to be healed.

Waiting for someone to repent before we forgive is to surrender our future to the person who wronged us.

Forgiving is not a way to avoid pain but to heal the pain.

Forgiving someone who breaks a trust does not mean that we give him his job back.

Forgiving is the only way to be fair to ourselves.

Forgivers are not doormats; to forgive a person is not a signal that we are willing to put up with what he does.

Forgiving is essential; talking about it is optional.

When we forgive, we set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner we set free is us.

When we forgive, we walk in stride with the forgiving God.

When we expect the God to forgive all our misdeeds , he expects us to set an example

Always be kind enough  .......................................... as you would like God to be with you !

The Storm

A man just got married and was returning home with his wife. They were crossing a lake in a boat, when suddenly a great storm arose. The man was a warrior, but the woman became very much afraid because it seemed almost hopeless:

The boat was small and the storm was really huge, and any moment they were going to be drowned. But the man sat silently, calm and quiet, as if nothing was happening.

The woman was trembling and she said, “Are you not afraid ?”. This may be our last moment of life! It doesn’t seem that we will be able to reach the other shore. Only some miracle can save us; otherwise death is certain. Are you not afraid? Are you mad or something? Are you a stone or something?

The man laughed and took the sword out of its sheath. The woman was even more puzzled: What he was doing? Then he brought the naked sword close to the woman’s neck, so close that just a small gap was there, it was almost touching her neck.

He said,” Are you afraid ?”

She started to laugh and said,” Why should I be afraid ?,If the sword is in your hands, why I should be afraid? I know you love me.

” He put the sword back and said, This is my answer”. I know God Loves me, and the storm is in His hands

SO WHATSOEVER IS GOING TO HAPPEN IS GOING TO BE GOOD. If we survive, good; if we don’t survive, good ,because everything is in His hands and He cannot do anything wrong.

The Association

“The rain drop from the sky, if it is caught in hands is pure enough for drinking. If it falls in gutter, it’s value drops so much that it can’t be used for washing the feet. If it falls on hot surface, it perishes. If it falls on lotus leaf, it shines like a pearl and finally, if it falls on oyster, it becomes a pearl. The drop is same, but it’s existence & worth depends on with whom it associates.”

Always be associated with people who are good at heart....!

Choose your associations wisely...

The Shells

A 4 yr old boy was in the market with his 6 yr old sister...Suddenly the boy found that his sister was lagging behind. He stopped and looked back. His sister was standing in front of a toy shop and was watching something with great interest. The boy went back to her and asked,"Do you want something?" The sister pointed at the doll. The boy held her hand and like a responsible elder brother, gave that doll to her.The sister was very very happy... The shopkeeper was watching everything and getting amused to see the  matured behaviour of the boy... Now the boy came to the counter and asked the shopkeeper,"What is the cost of this doll,Sir!" The shopkeeper was a cool man and had experienced the odds of life.So he asked the boy with a lot of love n affection," Well,What can you pay?" The boy took out all the shells that he had collected from sea shore, from his pocket and gave them to the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper took the shells and started counting as if he were counting the currency. Then he looked at the boy.The boy asked him worriedly,"Is it less?" The shopkeeper said,"No,No... These are more than the cost.So I will return the remaining." Saying so,he kept only 4 shells with him and returned the remaining. The boy, very happily kept those shells back in his pocket and went away with his sister...
A servant in that shop got very surprised watching all these. He asked his master," Sir!You gave away such a costly doll just for 4 shells???"
The shopkeeper said with a smile,"Well,For us these are mere shells. But for that boy, these shells are very precious. And at this age he does not understand what money is,but when he will grow up,he definitely will. And  when he would remember that he purchased a doll with the Shells instead of Money,he will remember Me and think that world is full of Good people. He will develop positive thinking..Thats it..."

The Black Spot

One day a professor entered the classroom and asked his students to prepare for a surprise test. They waited anxiously at their desks for the test to begin. The professor handed out the question paper, with the text facing down as usual. Once he handed them all out, he asked his students to turn the page and begin. To everyone’s surprise, there were no questions….just a black dot in the center of the page. The professor seeing the expression on everyone’s face, told them the following:

“I want you to write what you see there.”

The students confused, got started on the inexplicable task.

At the end of the class, the professor took all the answer papers and started reading each one of them aloud in front of all the students. All of them with no exceptions, described the black dot, trying to explain its position in the middle of the sheet, etc. etc. etc. After all had been read, the classroom silent, the professor began to explain:

“I am not going to grade on you this, I just wanted to give you something to think about. No one wrote about the white part of the paper. Everyone focused on the black dot – and the same happens in our lives. We have a white paper to observe and enjoy, but we always focus on the dark spots. Our life is a gift given to us by God, with love and care, and we always have reasons to celebrate – nature renewing itself everyday, our friends around us, the job that provides our livelihood, the miracles we see everyday…….

However we insist on focusing only on the dark spots – the health issues that bother us, the lack of money, the complicated relationship with a family member, the disappointment with a friend etc

The dark spots are very small compared to everything we have in our lives, but they are the ones that pollute our minds.

Take your eyes away from the black spots in your life. Enjoy each one of your blessings, each moment that life gives you.

Be happy and live a life positively!

Smartphone

A teacher after the dinner she started checking homework done by the students. Her husband is strolling around with a smart phone playing his favourite game ‘Candy Crush Saga’.

When reading the last note, the wife starts crying with silent tears.

Her husband saw this and asked, ‘Why are you crying dear? What happened?’

Wife: ‘Yesterday I gave homework to my 1st Standard students, to write something on topic -My Wish-.’

Husband: ‘OK, but why are you crying?’

Wife: ‘Today while checking the last note, it makes me crying.’

Husband curiously: ‘What’s written in the note that makes you crying?’

Wife: ‘Listen’

My wish is to become a smart phone.

My parents love smart phone very much.

They care smart phone so much that sometimes they forget to care me.

When my father comes from office tired, he has time for smart phone but not for me.

When my parents are doing some important work and smart phone is ringing, within single ring they attend the phone, but not me even...

even if I am crying.

They play games on their smart phones not with me.

When they are talking to someone on their smart phone, they never listen to me even if I am telling something important.

So, My wish is to become a smart phone.

After listening the note husband got emotional and asked the wife, ‘who wrote this?’.

Wife: ‘Our son’.

Gadgets are beneficial, but they are for our ease not to cease the love amongst family and loved ones.

Children see and feel everything what happens with & around them. Things get imprinted on their mind with an everlasting effect. Let’s take due care, so that they do not grow with any false impressions...

The Parachute

Air Commodore Vishal was a Jet Pilot. In a combat mission his fighter plane was destroyed by a missile. He however ejected himself and parachuted safely. He won acclaims and appreciations from many.

After five years one day he was sitting with his wife in a restaurant. A man from another table came to him and said "You're Captain Vishal ! You flew jet fighters. You were shot down!"

"How in the world did you know that?" asked Vishal.

"I packed your parachute," the man smiled and replied.
Vishal gasped in surprise and gratitude and thought if parachute hadn't worked, I wouldn’t be here today.

Vishal couldn't sleep that night, thinking about that man. He wondered how many times I might have seen him and not even said 'Good morning, how are you?' or anything because, he was a fighter pilot and that person was just a safety worker"

So friends, who is packing your parachute?
Everyone has someone who provides what they need to make it through the day.

We need many kinds of parachutes when our plane is shot down – we need the physical parachute, the mental parachute, the emotional parachute, and the spiritual parachute.
We call on all these supports before reaching safety.

Sometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is really important.

We may fail to say hello, please, or thank you, congratulate someone on something wonderful that has happened to them, give a compliment, or just do something nice for no reason.

As you go through this week, this month, this year, recognize the people who pack your parachute.

I just want to thank everyone who packed my parachute this year one way or the other - through your words, deeds, prayers etc!!

Play Wise Play Fool

There once lived a great mathematician in a village. He was often called by the local king to advice on matters related to the economy. His reputation had spread as far as Taxila in the North and Kanchi in the South. So it hurt him very much when the village headman told him, "You may be a great mathematician who advises the king on economic matters but your son does not know the value of gold or silver."

The mathematician called his son and asked, "What is more valuable - gold or silver?" "Gold," said the son. "That is correct. Why is it then that the village headman makes fun of you, claims you do not know the value of gold or silver? He teases me every day. He mocks me before other village elders as a father who neglects his son. This hurts me. I feel everyone in the village is laughing behind my back because you do not know what is more valuable, gold or silver. Explain this to me, son."

So the son of the mathematician told his father the reason why the village headman carried this impression. "Every day on my way to school, the village headman calls me to his house. There, in front of all village elders, he holds out a silver coin in one hand and a gold coin in other. He asks me to pick up the more valuable coin. I pick the silver coin. He laughs, the elders jeer, everyone makes fun of me. And then I go to school. This happens every day. That is why they tell you I do not know the value of gold or silver."

The father was confused. His son knew the value of gold and silver, and yet when asked to choose between a gold coin and silver coin always picked the silver coin. "Why don't you pick up the gold coin?" he asked. In response, the son took the father to his room and showed him a box. In the box were at least a hundred silver coins. Turning to his father, the mathematician's son said, "The day I pick up the gold coin the game will stop. They will stop having fun and I will stop making money."

Point: Sometimes in life, we have to play the fool because our seniors and our peers, and sometimes even our juniors like it. That does not mean we lose in the game of life. It just means allowing others to win in one arena of the game, while we win in the other arena of the game. We have to choose which arena matters to us and which arenas do not.

What to teach ?

In childhood, I remember my father used to get me chocolates... n ask me to share with all family members before I eat... Today I forgot the taste n name of that chocolate... but learnt n experienced the "joy of giving"

Today we as parents give equal chocolates... same toys to both our kids... n tell them..."tum apna khao... tum apna khelo... jhagda mat karo"....

Here we are not teaching peace... but teaching them how to think "only for self"... n kids start using words like "my chocolate ...my toys....my life... my choice"....

"My" is nothing but ego... n once ego comes, wisdom leaves... only knowledge is left behind !!!

Teach your children to never walk alone in life n on the path to prosperity... Teach them to bring others with them too... Love others n make them prosperous too... Spread love n happiness
